The weather and conditions were still good for the 5 lap Club SOI supersport 600 Race . Alastair Seeley just had the advantage over Keith Amor as they left the start line, he was still ahead as they rounded the York corner. The riders behind him were fighting for their space as they slotted into the corner . On the run to Cromore corner from the Mill road roundabout, Seeley lost out to Hutchinson . A long train of riders came up onto the Ballysally roundabout, Hutchinson was 0031 seconds ahead of Seeley . Farquhar, Amor, Plater, Johnson and Lougher were right behind them . Two riders were line abreast ahead of the others as they came down the hill towards the Metropole, Seeley was on the inside and he edged Hutchinson over as he prepared to lean into the corner . He was first through, with Hutchinson, Farquhar, Plater and Amor behind him .

When they appeared at the university corner, four riders squeezed through together . Seeley was ahead of Plater, Hutchinson and farquhar . It was all change as they raced down the hill towards the Metropole, Hutchinson was 0.25 seconds ahead of Plater, Anstey a further 0.25 seconds adrift, Seeley was 0.3 seconds down and Farquhar was 0.5 seconds further down . Along the coast road a terrific scrap was taking place between Hutchinson and Plater, Hutchinson just 0.15 seconds ahead as they crossed the finish line . Seeley wasn't lying back as he moved into 2nd place along the chicane at the pits .

Seeley was back in the lead as they came over the hill on the link road to the Ballysally roundabout, Hutchinson, Plater, Anstey, Farquhar and Johnson close on his tail . Only 1.86 seconds separated the 1st and 6th riders . Four riders were abreast as they came down into the Metropole corner, Anstey was now leading Seeley, Hutchinson and Plater . It was all change again by the time they crossed the finish line at the end of the 3rd lap . Seeley was now leading Anstey, Plater, Hutchinson and Farquhar . only 1.3 seconds covering the top six .



There was lots of slip streaming on the long fast run to the university, ten riders together as they climbed the slip road onto the Ballysally roundabout . Hutchinson was now leading Plater, Anstey, Farquhar, Seeley, Amor, Lougher and Johnson . Seeley was back in the lead as they came into the Metropole corner, however Plater grabbed the lead as they moved around the corner . Before they had reached the church corner, Seeley was back in the lead . Seeley was 0.36 seconds ahead of Plater as they crossed the line to start the last lap, Anstey and Hutchinson behind . Hutchinson went through the speed trap at 175 mph .

When they came up onto the roundabout at Ballysally, Plater was well ahead os Seeley and hutchinson, Anstey seemed to be coaasting . Plater was still holding the lead as they came into the Metropole corner, Lougher having appeared from nowhere to take 3rd place .Plater went on to take the win, with Seeley, Lougher, Hutchinson and Farquhar in the next places .
