The weather still remained much the same for the five lap CP Hire Superstock race, however there seemed to be a slight breeze picking up . Keith Amor, Alastair Seeley and ne of the TAS Suzukis were the first ones into Primrose, John Anderton pulling in as he was leaving the line . When they came up onto the Ballysally roundabout, Seeley and Amor were on the hard shoulder, Amor trying to get around Seeley . Cummins, Johnson, Anstey and Farquhar were among the riders who were hard on their heels, only 3.75 seconds separating the top 10 . When they raced down into the Metropole they all spread out, all hoping for the advantage . Seeley was the first around, just 0.1 seconds ahead of Amor, Cummins, Donald, Johnson, Farquhar and Rutter . As they crossed the line for the first time, Seeley was still in the lead, Anstey, Cummins, Amor and Johnson following him through . Stephen Thompson went through the speed trap at 185 mph .
Seeley was 0.434 seconds ahead of Anstey at Ballysally, Johnson was 0.5 seconds further down . They were neck and neck as they came into the Metropole corner , Seeley taking the inside line. Anstey out-braked himself and went wide, allowing Johnson to nip in and take 2nd place . Seeley was once again the first past the finish line, Johnson 2nd and Anstey was 3rd . Anstey exited the chicane sideways as he piled the power on to try and regain what he had lost . Michael Rutter was dropping back at this time on the NW200 Ducati . Rob Frost was the fastest through the speed trap at 187 mph .
Rutter came off at the York corner but remounted . Johnson was in the lead by 0.448 seconds when they came up onto the Ballysally roundabout . Seeley. Amor, Anstey, Farquhar, Martin, Donald and McGuinness were the next through .Seeley and Johnson came down into the Metropole corner together, Seeley on the outside . Johnson was the first through, with Amor, Anstey and Donald tight behind . Ian Lougher overshot but rejoined the race . It was a seven horse ride as they came up to Quarry hill, Johnson and Seeley first across the line . Anstey and Amor extremely close together . Guy Martin recorded a new lap record at a speed of 121.94mph on this lap .
Seven bikes approached the Ballysally roundabout, Anstey and Donald must have really turned the heat on as they were in 1st and 2nd places . Seeley was 0.3 seconds further down, with Martin, Johnson, Amor and Farquhar in the next places . Anstey was 0.5 seconds ahead of Donald at the Metropole, Seeley just 0.3 seconds down . Anstey crossed the line first at the end of the lap but Seeley tried his short circuit trick and passed him before the end of the pits chicane .
Seeley had a 20 metre advantage as they left the Mill road roundabout but Anstey grabbed the lead on the way to the Cromore corner . Seeley then retook the lead before the university only to loose it again before they reached the corner . He was back in the lead when they came up onto the roundabout, Anstey, Donald, Martin and johnson behind them . 1.8 seconds separated the top seven riders . Donald was in the lead at the Metropole, Anstey, Seeley, Martin, Amor, Farquhar and Johnson following behind . As they entered the Juniper chicane, Donald and Anstey were on the grass, allowing Seeley to nip through . Seeley managed to hold the lead over Anstey Donald, Martin and Amor as he crossed the finish line for the last time .
