The 5 lap Clinton Enterprises supersport 600 Race . On the 2nd lap the race was red flagged, an incident at Mathers Cross.
The race was restarted as a 4 lap race . Keith Amor was first away, with M Dunlop and Plater tight behind him . Dunlop was the 1st through the York Corner and on the run to the University it was Dunlop, then Plater but this reversed before they arrived at the University . Farquhar then took the lead before Plater moved back to the lead at the Ballysally roundabout . At the Metropole it was Anstey, Plater, McGuinness, Farquhar and Hutchinson . Plater moved to the front and when they were traveling towards the University for the 2nd time he had over 100 metre lead over Anstey . He was still in the lead at the roundabout at Ballysally and on the run to Mathers Cross M Dunlop passed Farquhar to take 5th place . Plater was 3 -4 bike lengths ahead of Anstey when they rounded the Metropole corner but he was already stretching the lead by the time they had traveled to the church corner . When they arrived at the finish line for the 2nd time, Plater was 6 - 7 lengths ahead of Anstey, rain starting to fall, few drops only it seems . They were followed by McGuinness, M Dunlop, Hutchinson, W Dunlop and Farquhar.
Anstey was gaining on Plater when they rounded the York Corner but Plater pulled away again on the climb up to the Mill Road roundabout . When they arrived at Ballysally, Dunlop was now up in 3rd place . On the run to Mathers Cross Plater stayed in the lead but after this he came under pressure from Anstey and Dunlop, Anstey taking the lead before the Magherabuoy chicane . Plater then moved ahead again before the Metropole, Dunlop dropping back slightly . McGuinness was still back in 4th place . Along the coast road, Dunlop was putting Anstey under pressure but the positions remained the same when the flashed across the finish lien at the en of the penultimate lap .
By the time they exited the start/finish chicane, Plater was pulling away again and along the coast road Dunlop was getting a tow from Anstey . Anstey and Dunlop were still fighting as they rounded the Mill Road roundabout . Dunlop fell back slightly before Cromore but gained again on the way to the university . He then lost out again but pulled it back going into the Ballysally roundabout . He continued to gain on the way to Mathers but Anstey pulled away and passed Plater coming into the Magherabuoy chicane . Plater was on the inside on the way down to the Metropole and gained the lead again . Anstey was on the inside going into Juniper but it was of no avail . Plater held on to finish ahead of Anstey, Dunlop and McGuinness .
