The CP Hire Superstock Race

The four lap CP Hire Superstock race got under way with Farquhar grabbing the lead from the 2nd row of the grid . The three Relentless Suzuki's were in the next three places . On the way to Ballysally, Farquhar was ahead and at one time the three Suzukis were almost side by side with a couple of other riders hard on their heels . At Ballysally, it was farquhar, Anstey, Seeley, Donald, Johnston and Amor . As they approached the Magherabuoy chicane Seeley was alongside Anstey but dropped back as they entered the chicane . Farquhar was leading out of the Metropole and seemed to dropping back or Seeley catching up along the coast road . However Farquhar held on and was first through the start/finish chicane .

When the were leaving the Mill Road roundabout it seemed as if Farquhar was able to out accelerate the three Suzukis . However Seeley managed to catch him just before the university corner and slipped through . Seeley was first through the Ballysally roundabout but Farquhar closed right up on his back wheel as they exited the roundabout . Farquhar dropped back a bit then but went into overdrive before Mathers and passed Seeley . Seeley attempted to move to the front again before the Magherabuoy but was unsuccessful and held off, he tried again before the Metropole but Farquhar out braked him . Farquhar accelerated hard after Church corner and pulled away along the coast road, but Seeley jumped him on the outside at the Juniper chicane and took the lead and was 1st over the line .

Farquhar closed right up on Seeley at York corner and was right on his tail through the Mill Road roundabout . Seeley pulled away but Farquhar managed to pass him before the University . As they came up onto the Ballysally roundabout the rain started and Farquhar showed them all who could handle the wet . He pulled away gradually nd had opened up 8 - 10 bike lengths of a lead before the Metropole where it wasn't raining . Seeley was in 2nd place ahead of Amor and Hutchinson . Farquhar kept the power on and was first through the start/finish chicane. About eight bikes were already on the way to Primrose when the red flags went out . The race was decided on the previous lap placings, Seeley 1st 0.8 seconds ahead of Farquhar 2nd and Amor in 3rd place . Farquhar was robbed of the win, especially when the rain only lasted for about 10 seconds here at the Metropole .
