This year will be the 30th year that the Supporters Club has been providing support for the races . The continuation of our support demonstrates the high regard we have for the organization at Portstewart with the high degree
of professionalism displayed by the organizers at which is acknowledged to be the premier road race of the year .
This year we handed £25,000 to the CDMC, it was £1000 up on last year's contribution . This is the target that we want to beat during the coming season. Spectators that are concerned about the future well being of the race will no doubt rally to the cause again .
Since 1977 the club has pumped over £265,000 into this famous race, we can never become complacent and I'm confident that 2008 will be another successful year .
Reluctantly we have been forced to increase the club membership fee to £5 which covers the cost of a lapel badge, car sticker and fixture list by return post . There is also a top value race package available . This includes a race programme, paddock pass for practice and race days, plus the club membership package .
We need to increase our membership to meet the rising costs of running the races . We would also like some new blood in the club to safeguard our future, currently our committee consists of two members . We need help to continue our work and to bring new ideas for fund raising . We also sell T-shirts, Sweat shirts, hats, badges etc at the NW200 and other venues throughout the year . We hope to be able to supply some of these items via this site in the near future .
